The March Newsletter is slated to come out the afternoon of Monday, March 5.
Math help is now available every Wednesday for 6th, 7th and 8th graders from 2:30-3:15. (Other times can be arranged if needed). Please contact your child's math teacher to make arrangements.
Valentine's Dance for 6th, 7th, 8th graders Feb. 10
A formal dance will be held for the 6th, 7th and 8th graders Friday, Feb. 10 at the school. Admission is $10 and nice attire is requested. Any 6th grader planning to attend is asked to bring in soda or water by Friday. Any 7th or 8th graders are asked to bring in chips, snacks, cookies, etc. With the child's admission they will get to enjoy the drinks and snacks.
The PTA is selling raffle tickets for an IPAD! They are $20 each and only 150 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be at the end of Casino Night, Feb 11. If you would like to purchase a ticket you can contact any PTA member. More information about the Casino Night can be found on the PTA page of this website.
Italian Dinner Night will be held Saturday, March 10. It will be potluck style this year - so break out the ol' recipe book. The event will be held at the school from 6-8 p.m. RSVP Melissa Dion at melissadion@verizon.net by March 3. Please specify what Italian dish you will share and how many people per family.
If you are interested in volunteering at our school (lunch volunteer, coach, etc.), please go to Forms and download the applicable letter and forms (Volunteer Forms) or click here. This is mandatory for everyone.
These must be completed and turned in to the office if you wish to be a regular volunteer. Any questions, please call the main office. Thank you!
New Script Information: Angela Amato will fill Script orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. at the school. Available are ShopRite in increments of $25, $50 and $100 and $100 Acme cards. If you are not available to come to the office to fill your order, please send in a check made out to Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School in an envelope with your child's name and homeroom marked on it. It will be sent home on Tuesday or Thursday of that week.
Shadowing Days Announced
Prospective students are invited to take part in a "Shadowing Day" offered several times throughout the school year at Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School. Your child will be able to get the full Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School experience by "shadowing" a peer in your child’s respective grade. Students will participate in classroom activities, visit the science lab, socialize with other students, and experience state-of-the-art equipment such as SMART Boards.
"Shadowing Days" will be held Friday, Feb. 24, Friday, March 23, April dates by appointment, Friday, May 11 and Monday, May 21. Students are welcome to spend the entire day, from 7:55 a.m.-2:30 p.m. If the dates offered are not convenient, please contact the office to make arrangements for a specific day.

A Message from Nurse Thomas
All students entering sixth grade must have received the following Immunizations prior to the first day of school in September 2011: Meningococcal and Tdap. After receiving shots, please send documentation into the school.
Nurse Thomas will be available Monday through Friday.
Please remember to schedule your child’s next yearly physical. If you need forms—they are available on the school’s website. Return completed forms to school. New students must have a physical and updated immunization before starting school. Additional immunizations will be needed for sixth grade and Pre-K. Please check with your doctor to make sure all students are up to date with immunizations. Send any updates into school. Click here to download form to take to the doctors.
