B.Lessons available on the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bells and snare drum.

C.Lessons are conducted in small groups of students with matching ability levels. The lessons occur during the calendar day, approximately one-half hour per week, within the school year calendar. The lesson time will change each week on a rotating basis to cause as little disruption as possible to the academic program.

D.All students enrolled in the lesson program also rehearse and perform with the school’s Concert Band. Experienced students will begin rehearsals immediately. Beginning students will attend rehearsals when ready (4-6 weeks). Rehearsals are held on Tuesday mornings from 7:50 a.m. to 8:20 a.m.

E.The Concert Band performs during the School’s Annual Christmas Program and Spring Concert. Additional performance opportunities for this school year include Catholic Schools Week, Music Ministry, a Community Outreach Project and School Spirit – Pep Rally.

This is done on a rotating basis to cause as little disruption as possible to the academic program. Students are responsible for any material and assignments that they miss. Students will be excused from their lesson if they are taking a test, hearing a guest speaker, etc. – this lesson will be rescheduled.

C.Rehearsals/Concerts:Students are expected to attend all rehearsals and concerts that are scheduled for the Concert Band. Acceptable excuses for missing these events are the same as those for missing a day of school (illness, family emergency, etc.)
