Physical Education
It has been a great 6 weeks of phys ed so far!

PreK has been practicing a variety of locomotor skills such as jumping, hopping, galloping, and skipping.  We have also been using the parachute during some classes.  Their favorite thing to do, however, is freeze dance and animal freeze dance!

K-2 has been focusing on all locomotor skills and we have been playing games that allow the students to practice doing them. I assessed each student in each skill, and I will assess them again in the spring to see how they've improved.  Next, we will start the catching and throwing unit.

3-8 just finished their soccer unit.  We started with some basic drills & games to practice dribbling, passing, trapping, and shooting. The last class ended with a scrimmage!  Although soccer isn't everyone's favorite sport, they all tried their best and exhibited great sportsmanship. Our next unit will be basketball, which I know many are excited for.
